Garlic Mustard is an invasive plant in Minnesota, often edging out native varieties and spreading quite rapidly. Its tiny seeds can travel in mud on paws and boots. Unfortunately, it also leaves allelopathic chemicals in the soil that deplete the regeneration of our natural forests. One native plant that is a good alternative to Garlic Mustard is Wild Ginger. Join us in this free community event to support the city forests of Plymouth around the Hilde Performance Center. You can learn more about Garlic Mustard on the MN DNR website.
